Re: Daphnes Diary

It's a beautiful magazine Carolyn. Excellent quality too. It's not really a craft magazine but does contain some craft items, as well as cookery, travel, shopping, history, beautiful properties, diary style stories, things to cut out and keep (but I can't bear to do that!). Well worth a purchase, th...

Re: Lavender, felt and January 2013

They are lovely Linda - I have been sewing a lot of little felt things recently too (not as adventurous as your shapes though!!).

It seems to be the 'in' thing at the moment but also takes me back to being very young when I used to make felt micees and simple dolls.

They are lovely - I could do with a Kindle case, mine just gets thrown in my handbag with everything else

Re: Are you making this month

I've been making some cards with buttons for a local cafe to sell for me, some felt hearts (hanging and on sticks), and a special 40th birthday card using photos of the recipient.

I should really take photos of them!

Re: Spray glue

I have used spray glue - like Carolyn said you should use it in a well ventilated space and I tend to use a cardboard box to avoid spraying everything else in the viciinity.

For small pieces, just hold them with a pair of long handled tweezers - and then wash your fingers afterwards :-)

Re: What is on your Christmas list?

I can't really think of anything that I 'need' craft wise - but I am hopefully going to be getting a new (and bigger!) shed in the Spring which I am really looking forward to. My shed at the moment is like one of those houses you see on the Hoarding shows - I can just about move around and have to b...

Re: Best scoring board

I have the Hougie board which is brilliant is you want to score at say 1cm, 5 cm and 10 cm. However, some of the other boards are useful as they give the scor lines for A6, A5, gatefold etc which the Hougie doesn't.

Hope that helps a bit.

I went to my local craft shop today and brought a couple of X-Cut dies, some 12x12 white paper and a Papermania Christmas stamp.

A few other bits & pieces and it came to

Re: Acid Drops and What Nots

I saw these at Ally Pally but I was so worn out by then I didn't buy any. The artwork is great and the words and sayings are amusing in a 'saucy' kind of way.

Really good and totally different to anything else I have seen and worther checking them out online.
