Re: Fabric folding

Have you followed Nicki's posts on facebook? She's got a page for the group she's set up - Helping Hands - lots you can make from fabric, all for good causes. Some are great for using up small pieces of fabric. I'm making a fidget blanket - useful to do when you don't want to follow a complicated pa...

Learn to Knit DVD

I have a friend who wants to learn to knit, but doesn't have a computer so can't use the on-line tutorials. She can play a DVD. Does anyone know a good one for the basics? I want to get her yarn and needles for a scarf. I thought Aran would be a nice weight; chunky enough to grow at a reasonable pac...

Re: Epson Cartridges free T0713 and T0714

It'll cost you nearly as much as the postage to reimburse me for it! I don't know if you support Help for Heroes, but if you do, put a bit extra in next time you come across them, or add it to a poppy in November. The best would be something that helps the mental health of ex-servicemen - otherwise ...

Re: Epson Cartridges free T0713 and T0714

Can you message me your address (Ann Couper-Johnston on facebook is best, as I look there more often) and I can pop them in the post to you?

Epson Cartridges free T0713 and T0714

I have two Epson Cartridges I don't need: T0713 (magenta), T0714 (yellow) - from a box with a cheetah on the front. I changed my printer some time ago, so won't ask anything for them as they might have dried out (though they are still in their shrink-wrap, so I think they're worth posting on rather ...

Re: Oh dear!!!

You will have more chance of being a domestic goddess if you're not so stressed. Working with kids exposes you to loads of germs anyway, so let's hope you're stronger next year with two reasons to be ill less of a burden on you.

Re: crafty reminiscing

I hope to get back to making cards one day. I still have one or two boxes of the ones I made some time ago, which I must dig out as we have a Spring Fair in the parish a fortnight yesterday - May 17? and I could give some of them to that. I also have a defunct blog, which I started when my mother wa...

Carolyn, the second card in your set reminded me of Hazel's challenge to use patterned papers.

Ellen, great to see you back!

This thread being headed "To do List", I'd better say - no, I haven't got one, but at least I've got something done that I've been meaning to do for decades!

Re: To do list - January

I have way too many books! I've been going through the boxes, found one or two for selling or the charity shop and read one I got for my dad years ago (as this August marks the 25th anniversary of his death, it has been bugging me for a long time! Every time I tidied up the books I'd come across it;...

Re: Christmas presents

I have got no further than hoping to use some of my (bought  ) cards and, at last, send an update of our family news to those who haven't had one since the last one my mother sent, in 2009 (!) I need to finish the hat I knitted for my cousin, and make one for my sister; I'm making a poncho for...
