I have been busy sewing, I am now 'retired' following redundancy, but am filling a lot of my time giving lifts to hospital as my husband is on kidney dialysis now. Trying to take things to do whilst i am there, and will get more ...

Re: Selling

Now need to get together some things that I can put on there and take pictures. Anything on there will have to be 'made', i don;t want to be under pressure to make things if an order comes in.

Re: Selling

Have taken the plunge, just one item on there at the moment, will read through some guidance to see how best to do everything.

They take 12%, have decided to do free postage as will price accordingly.

Selling

I have been looking into selling on Amazon - I can see that they just charge a commission, so thinking it might be worth a try. Not sure how complicated it is.

Have filled in initial form and now have the link to 'join'. will have a look around and see what others are doing on there.

Pink Boucle type fabric

I bought this fabric today - it was only £3 a metre - I hope to make a handbag or 2, trying to think of a few ideas.

Picture doesn't do the colour justice, it looks better in real life.

Re: Bags

I think 20% is reasonable, and worth having a go at selling.

Re: Bags

do you not have any shops near you that could take a few things. Over the years I have managed to sell some things with independent retailers. like a florist or a tea shop that have a few gifts around.
