Have a great day - I am sure it will be fun, it is nice being with other card makers too. You often pick up a tip that seems so obvious once you know it! :duck:

Although my embossing days are a long time ago I would definitely agree with Wendy and it is amazing the difference on some powders - it could be that you are not getting enough coverage in the first place. Have you been tapping the excess off a little too hard, or maybe left it for a while before t...

Strangely enough I found the eyeshadow came off completely unlike the chalks that I used on the course. And they had a shimmer to them too. Don't know whether they will rub off completely whenin a cello bag! Thanks for the link Kathy - had missed that one...fancy not searching eh? I have not tried t...

Got my stamps out

I bought a Versamark stamp pad at the course last week, and I have dusted down my stamps. Had a little play using eyeshadow (as someone on here suggested) and the pad and am quite impressed. As the effect is more subtle I am impressed at using them for backgrounds which I have never successfully don...

As far as I am aware all inks dry eventually and are not glue. So the ones suitable for embossing just stay tacky longer so that the embossing powder sticks until it has been heated and set. You can get glitter embossing powders - well you used to be able to (sorry I am rusty on all this - not done ...

It is a long time since I did this - but I do know different embossing powders behave differently...and some just do not seem to behave themselves as well as others!

I had a wonky stamp - I got used to it in the end - and compensated for the slant!!! How old is it - can't you take it back. I always wished I had taken mine back.

Not sure if it would come off easily without damaging it.

What ink comes off - from the card or the stamp? Is it shiny card?

Oh poor Deepa - no computer, my biggest fear - I thought she had been a little quiet. I would miss the computer more than the TV these days :)

So you are all up and running now - I see you mention 'craft room' I new dedicated space sounds good.

New rubber stamping mag

I popped into my local craft shop today and we got talking about mags - and the new one - and she did mention that there was a new rubber stamping one...trouble is I did not take the details - but she did say Woodware were involved in it - not sure if it is any use to anyone. :)
