CraftFairy wrote:Hello,

I have a craft robo.... BUT use it with the silhouette software so i get all of the downloadable images!

I did this because the robo was cheaper and came with a better warrenty!!! i love QK so had to have the designs, i have the unlimited subscription which i think is a huge bargain! and they release some lovely designs every week now!

You can download the silhouette software with the store to view the designs beofre you buy!

i have just sold my expression for exactly the same reason!!

Have just downloaded it - will sort it out tomorrow. I presume it didn't upset any of the Robo stuff - as I am not sure that I have my CD handy if I have to reinstall.

Does the software give you any functionality or just access to the QK downloads?

I did that too - I renamed the craft robo folder and the robo master folder - I put the version number in the title. That way I can still load it up.

I used it today and it seemed ok.

and it has more to offer than the old version.

I have 2.4 and 4. something and now this 5.1. If I do a free download I try and do it in the lower version as you cannot upgrade without paying on the robo site. BUT I will put a link to the silhouette site and encourage people to go for the later version!

Yes I can see the online designs, I didn't buy anythin though!

very restrained, i do the unlimited subs, i got it on a half price offer and pay around 9.99 a month i justify it as i would easily buy a die a month for that and with the subscription i can have whatever i like!

Did anyone download this?

I kept the old version by renaming the folder - but have been using this now. I do know if people are not on this version and I do it in this then I can't share with the older versions, so will have to use the old one for stuff for the site.

Just thought I would bump this in case anyone missed it. By downloading this software you get the latest Robo software for free AND you get 50 FREE cutting imgaes....AND I have just realised they give free ones away too...there is this one here today:

you can't see the shop until you get the software - but here is an idea of what is available:

Hi there, I have just found the forum googling as I have an original Craft Robo (CC100-20) and wondered if the software you linked to would work with this original machine? The link given refers to later versions of the machine.

Thanks for your help.

I don't know - mine is CC200. What I did was copied the old software to a new place (and renamed the original version) in case I had a problem. Or you may still have a CD of the version you are on. If you give it a go and it doesn't work you can always re install the original.

Okay, thanks anyway. Not sure whether to bite the bullet or not - I'm not very patient with technology lol!

I have the orginial blue robo and 5.1 works with mine, I have the robo version not the silhouette software, which is the same apart from the download option.

I have done the same each version I have in seperate folders so I can use any one of them at any one time.
