Causing Chaos...again!!!!

Postby DingleDel » Sun May 14, 2017 10:35 am

It's a job that always seems to be on our to do list, it is also one of those jobs that is never ending.......sorting out the garage!!!!!!! :-?

It's just full of 19 year of clutter, tools galore and now boxes upon boxes of Chris's work stuff! It's becoming unbearable.

Started last weekend by putting up a couple of extra cupboards and moving an existing one nearer to the garage door and filled it with "car stuff!"
This weekend we have practically wrecked it, emptied out nearly every cupboard, re-arranged them and put them all in place. Now we are left with the job of repainting, tidying and sorting through every box in an attempt to organise and simplify all our "junk!"

always feel good after a good clear out, what are you going to store in it now? or make it more into a room?

I'd love to make it into more of a room but without spending lots of money and changing the garage door it's just not feasible. It's North facing and so cold and gloomy I think it would just cost too much to make it worth while.

We have a treadmill out there as well as an exercise bike, it would be great to actually get to them but they are under a heap of boxes of Chris's works stuff. If we could free up some space to store that it would also help get rid of all the folders and paperwork that accumulate in my kitchen. It's difficult because he is on the road so much, going from one job to another and working out of his car boot more that the office!

I really enjoyed painting storage boxes yesterday........not great use of my time or energy but less strenuous and more relaxing. Not very productive though!

Still chaos! :(

We have a garden room that is roughly the size of a single garage. We are planning on insulating it and adding a better roof. It is very much a dumping ground. It also is where we have the washing machine, an overflow fridge and freezer and all our wetsuits etc. Eventually we are hoping to use it as an occasional bedroom and craft room. It is too damp to use at the moment.

I'm loving your boxes. They look very professional.
