Strawberries

Postby Carolyn » Tue Oct 13, 2015 10:13 pm

Wandered up the garden and picked 4 strawberries tonight, never seem to get to them before birds and slugs....

Thought they would be all finished.

We have new flowers on some of ours. The seasons are all out of sync .

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. We have a clump of tiny wild strawberries and there are little red dots appearing again. (We let the birds have them). We accidently planted sunflowers under the bird feeder. (Must have fallen out of the fat balls and have grown). Thought they would die off but there is one that is just coming out. Who would believe it. Sunflowers in October.

The sunflowers we put in the conservatory are drooping a bit and the ones in the garden are just coming out. For goodness sake Mother Nature, it is November!
