I look at Pinterest boards but don't have one myself. Do you use it as an alterntive to bookmarks on an internet browser?

yes much easier than bookmarks, as it works just like a pinboard so you can see all of the images.

I LOVE pinterest. However something happens with time when I'm on it. I pop over there for 5 minutes and 4 hours later I have done no crafting, cooking or cleaning but I have some great projects planned, recipes pinned and loads of cleaning tips.

I MUST have a re-shuffle over on my PInterest boards. I do have a knitting board but it is a bit of a mish mash!

I think I should just make everything you have pinned. Lovely stuff. I see you have a desk pinned. Is this your inspiration for your desk?

THE desk is still half complete and sitting in my conservatory Melis! I have painted most of it but I still need to do the inside of the desk and the underside of the lift up lids. Since the desk I have re-vamped two large mirrors (another Ebay bargain at

I know what you all mean. I had heard people talking on here about and finally took the plunge. I don't think I have any patterns on there Carolyn that would be what you are after.

The hours just go particularly when you get a message to say someone has pinned one of your pins so you just have to go and look at their stuff - and it goes on and on.

At church we have a craft group which I have joined. Whilst people just come to natter and do whatever they want, we also sell stuff we have made so it gives me an outlet for all the different things I dabble in. They are part of something called the Millennium group and they have raised

I have a Pinterst account but you do have to be careful what you pin ie if the image doesn't belong to you or you don't have permission to pin someone else's pin you could be in for trouble.

I only pin my own images and those I've first asked permission to pin.

I would never pin my knitting pattern designs on there as I don't want copycats as I sell my knitting patterns.

If you are pining other people's knitting patterns watch out because if you don't have the owner permission you are breaking their copyright and should they find out you'll end up with Cease and Desit letters/emails and pinterest will not only remove the image but can if you get reported more than once ban you from the site.

Oh and just because something is pinned onto pinterst don't assume you are allowed to re pin it to one of your own boards as it might be up their illegally ie someone who doesn't own the image or have the owners permission to pin it has just pinned it to their board without first checking it's ok or not to pin it.

I know people who have had pin terest remove repins and have sent the re pinner a message warning them to check what they re pin before re pinning.

Iam a bit perplexed Aisles by what you have said. I thought the whole point of Pinterest was to see what was out there and the stuff you liked or wanted to find out more about, you pinned onto your boards. If you have to get everyone's permission it seems pointless to me. There are lots of free tutorials and patterns so I assume they are there for the pinning.

You almost sound as though you have some bad experiences with Pinterest. Has someone copied your work or passed it off as their own?

I am not confident enough to post pics of my work there but if I did I would be flattered if someone re posted it.

It could be of course that I am missing the whole point of what you are saying .
