Hats and slippers

Postby Aisles » Mon Sep 15, 2014 6:49 pm

I decided it was time I got to grips with DPN's after much fumble and droping off the 4 needles I managed to create a pixie type hat.

I then made the 2 crochet hats. I was sewing the flower on the second one when I mentioned my feet were getting chilly and DH suggest I should try making slippers as I always have plenty of spare wool. He was sort of correct but I don't use wool yarns as I'm allergic to wool. I did have a few ends of leftovers and a few bits of leftover recycled yarn so I experimented came up with my first pair of crochet slippers

Clever idea! Can you get soles to stitch on to prevent wear and slipping?

Thank you :)
Yes you can, and you'd need them if you don't have carpet as they'd be slippy.

Cute slippers, they are like the little shoes I made earlier in the year

You can get product called Sock Stop and you put that on the bottom. I have done lines from one side to the other. Works a treat.
