Christmas Exchange????

Postby Aisles » Tue Aug 16, 2016 10:59 am

Would anyone be interested in a Christmas Decoration and card exchange?

You would only have to make one Christmas Decoration and Card to send to one person. You would make your Christmas decoration from any craft you like or combination of crafts if your like.

The posting date would be 1st of December so there's plenty of time to think what you'd like to make and get it made.

If you'd be interested please put your name on down on this thread.

That's ok.

I think the joining up date deadline should be Friday 16 September then we'd have enough time to make our card and Christmas Decoration.

I'll work out who's sending to who and make it so you we don't receive from the person we send to.

I'm looking forward to this now :)

Could we set a few more details for this please, perhaps the rough cost of materials for the ornament, a few preferred colours maybe? I am thinking about what to do and the ideas range dramatically in style and cost.....It doesn't take much but I am confused!

I was just going to have a play with somethings I have here. TBh I may struggle - and won't be offended if it is not liked by recipient.

I would say no more than a couple of££'s to make the decorations, make it from whatever supplies you have in your stash so you don't have to go buy in anything special.

It can be sewn or patchwork or cross stitch or beadwork or embroidery or fabric painting or knitted or crocheted or if you are into polymer clay then use that or even wood if you like working in wood. You can use buttons, beads, ribbons, lace whatever you like. It's very much up to you what you to make it with. ie have available in your stash to use.

I'm sure everyone will love the decoration they receive as they'll know it's been hand made especially for them. A special little hand made Christmas gift.

If people do have colours they love for Christmas please say so on this thread so everyone can see.

Ok I love Reds, greens, whites, gold's silvers I don't mind any combinations of these colours or single colour for Christmas or if other colours are also part of the item.

Perfect. I will now think of something using the colours you have mentioned.

My Christmas tree has lots of glass, glittery bits and also natural things. We have all sorts of folky Christmas things. To be honest I LURRVVE Christmas so anything will be great. Just thought it might give you an idea if you didn't have anything in mind, Adele.
