Postby Carolyn » Thu Sep 27, 2012 6:28 pm

on Ancestry.co.uk at them moment - log in and get an account and try a search - this is the census written by your ancestor and not an enumerator.

*Free access from 00:00 on 13/8/12 until 23.59 on 2/11/12 (BST) to the 1911 Census Records and Summary Books for England, Wales, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. Registration is required for access by providing a name and email address.

What is also interesting is that it asks how many children they have had and how many are still alive. There are many children never mentioned on a census because they were born and died between two censuses. I have found quite a few baby/children ancestors from the 1911 info that I wouldn't otherwise thought of looking for.
