Now then do you re-ink or buy another?

Postby DingleDel » Tue Mar 29, 2011 8:46 pm

Looking at buying a few new ink pads, nothing special, just a basic black and perhaps a brown to use with my Copics. I am very happy with both Impress and Archival but I am wondering whether to buy a refil for my brown Archival ink instead of a complete new pad.

Can anyone advise please? If I buy an Archival re-inker, is it much more cost effective or just not worth the effort?
Adele.

Hi Adele...

I usualy just buy a new one, i think there is a slight difference in price, but at least i know i'm getting one that has an even ink flow all the way through the pad. Sometimes when i've used reinkers in the past, i've missed bits of the pad out, and then overdone the ink trying to make amends.

I do both & am happy with both - just depends. Sometimes the re inkers are difficult to come by so I just buy a new one ..............

I have re inked in the past but like Rachel says it is not that easy getting reinkers so often resort to buying another.

Thank you for your replies, I think I will stick to the pads. If and when the mojo strikes, I won't have to faff around with re-inkers!
