Throwing myself back in!

Postby DingleDel » Tue Mar 06, 2018 7:30 pm

Trying so hard to throw myself back into crafting but not putting pressure on myself to necessarily get finished results. Crafting for the sheer pleasure of crafting is something I struggle with.

I have registered with an online colouring course, only a freebie at the moment but I am keen to progress with a few others they offer. Never really done any courses before so it's quite daunting.

I am supposed to be de-cluttering and organising, and in my defence I have made a start on my thin metal dies and my copics...but I have been very naughty and during the snowy days I was tempted by a bit of crafty retail therapy! ( I was obviously stir crazy stuck indoors with Amelia!LOL) My new goodies arrived today, along with my new, mean, black, labelling machine!

I have blogged if you are interested!

love to see how the colouring course goes. I did a sewing one recently and made a simple bucket bag. It was a free one on Craftsy

what do you plan to use labelling machine for?

Well, we are having some major issues with Amelia and going back to basics with her and putting visuals timetables in place, lists around the house etc. One thing that I need to try is marking up clothes storage in her bedroom as a prompt. I just need to make my life with her more structured in an attempt to take some of the pressure off of me.

Of course I also plan to use it to label my craft room stash and Chris is keen to get the garage orgnanised too.

Your blog never loads on my tablet, will check on pc when I am home. I can see the pics, just not the text!
It is looking good, where did you get the course from?

It's from Kit and Clowder. There are several different courses some are just one offs for certain mediums or for particular colouring, such as skin, hair, clothing, nature....etc but I joined the monthly classes for Markers. It works out about £11-12 a month for a full tutorial, videos and print out sheets, access to contact the tutor, discount code for the digital image, IF you want to buy it.
I thought by committing to the monthly classes might encourage me to actually do something, as there are obviously loads of others working on the same course together.

It's lovely having a bit of directions again!

the background on your blog doesn't load on tablet etc, so can only ever see pics, so maybe you need to do something to fix it :)

Looking good - so yours is the alcohol markers?

I might give something a go like that as will have loads more time soon.

Yes, I pay about £11-12 a month for the Marker class, it's the same price for the pencil class of about £20 for both classes.

Not sure how I can fix my blog as it shows as ok for me! :-?

I have tried making a few changes to my blog, not sure it has helped. In fact I think I have made it worse! LOL

I had a little panic for a moment as I made changes but then couldn't work out how to access "admin" page, load new posts etc.....sussed it out now though.

Just finished my first class and blogged a few more pics. Had such fun with this class. x
