Bargello quilt class

Postby Melis » Sat Mar 17, 2018 9:17 am

Our sewing group has organised a Bargello class for today. I've bought some fabric that hopefully will look good in the living room. I will let you know how I get on.

I'd never heard of Bargello! I am afraid I had to Google it!

Some of the patterns look very intricate!

What colours have you gone for and how big to you plan for the quilt be?

Tee hee....thinking of the old box of hex patchwork I have in the loft from when I was a teenager!!!!! :roflmao:

33X36". That is the planned size. At the moment I am unpicking a row as not 1 square is lined up!! :(

The colours are pinks, a burgundy and a blue. I've taken a few photos.

Forgot to say that I only knew what a Bargello quilt was, is because the sign up sheet had a photo with it. They made one on sewing quarter a while ago.

I've made it a bit bigger as I have added extra borders. I need to think about how I'm going to quilt it. Not sure what though.
