I think 20% is reasonable, and worth having a go at selling.

I try to sell things as cheap as possible, so sometimes especially when you don't get things at wholesale price, it's kind of tough with taking a percentage off too

I would be careful selling cheaply as people might think they are cheap because they are not well made. It's a fine line and don't forget to take into consideration all your materials and any other over heads like commission if sold in a shop and be careful you have a written contract about who is responsible if they are damaged or stolen. If you sell online don't forget to add the online commission fees and/or paypal fees. If you sell via craft fairs you have to add in the cost of the table/pitch etc.

If you sell online you have to do a lot of promoting/advertising otherwise you will not get found.
