Thank you Kath but I have cheated and used Betty Crocker Cake Mixes, just waiting for another batch to cool before I can decorate. Lemon ones....mmmmm!

I have driven my friend to the hospital to visit her other half, cooked 100 sausage rolls, 72 vol-au-vent cases, 6 quiches, some veggie spring rolls and about 100 chicken drumsticks today. Now I am making little cocktail stick flags!!!!

I am starting to feel it now.....loads I wanted to do but no time, same old story! :(

Love the cakes and the knitting, so cute, did you buy the pattern or is it in the internet?

Weird. I thought I had commented on this post.

Anyway, I did want to let you know I thought the cakes looked lovely and that you are very talented with your knitting.

Lovely knitting as well. I used to knit when my boys were little but I never liked knitting (and still don't).

You've been very busy Adele.

I have sewing up knitted pieces - despite the fact I'm a needlewoman and can work with fabric and embroidery I can't get stitching up knitted pieces right!

For me it's a case of having to sew seams as I hold one of my needles on my tummy in my left-handed attempt to knit right handed.

I sewed up a little pair of baby shoes this afternoon but I still haven't sewn on the little embellishment.....mainly because I cannot find my needle case with all my finer sewing needles in it! :o

Enjoying the knitting and trying to use up some oddments of wool!

What for Carolyn, the little hat and booties set above? If so it's a download via Etsy.

https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Solnishko43?ref=listing-shop2-all-items-count#items

If you don't like sewing up, it's not the best pattern as you knit the little soles separately and then have to ease them into the main part of the boot.

I am hoping to make up a few different designs and write up the patterns myself, in the long run it will probably be faster than trailing through the internet trying to find patterns that are knitted flat.

I still haven't given up on the idea of learning to crochet...so many pretty patterns about.
