Here is another box which works out exactly the same but easier if you are using thicker card. Start with 14 cms for the base and 14'5 for the lid.The difference is you cut some bits so not strictly Origami I suppose although you are not cutting out or adding. http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture ... /05/1.html

That's the method I use to make little boxes from used greeting cards - I just use some plain card for the bottom part and the front of cards for the top part. They are very easy to do and very forgiving if your folds are slightly "off".
They sell for 12p each or 3 for 30p on my craft stall and I give profits to local charities. They are very popular with children and with everyone at Christmas.

Thanks Kath - I was looking for that one, on one of the meets we had in Hitchin I remember Lindas2003 (I wonder what she is up to now) showed us how to do it. I remember cutting until it clicked so we must have left some of it folded, I just can't remember.

They are so easy to make. Once you have your measured squares (any size square will do ) they can be made in minutes.

Ok, I have made my little box. I enjoyed doing that! The first idea I had didn't work. I was making paper as per Rachel's 'serendipity' but it was not successful for this. It was too thick . Reverted to another idea and all done now.
I have now to find things to put in it. When are we sending them, Carolyn and who to?
