...Clare mentioned this yesterday - have you seen how much weight he has lost - he said he did it by walking and listening to books. I fancy doing that.
Has anyone downloaded books onto their mp3/ipod?

I had a quick look around last night and they seem quite expensive compared to a book. I am sure the works do CDs I guess I can rip them like a music CD?

Very rare you can lose that much without some kind of diet modification, congrats to him for losing that much though.
I used to download books all the time when i had Limewire, but since the laws agianst that kind of thing, i've shyed away from it completely.

I have had a go at putting talking books I got from the library on to my Ipod but i can't get the chapters organised in the right order - no matter how hard i try My next move is to go in to the Apple shop with said Ipod and a CD talking book and do the helpless old lady bit and get some nice young lad to show me how. One of our local libraries (Huyton) provides books on MP3 players and they are brilliant to use. I love walking and being read to - just need to do the diet bit now although 6 stone might be a bit drastic - a stone would do.

I've just managed to put a couple of the audio books from the site Calv pointed us to onto my ipod. Had to put them onto the computer then unzip them then transfer them. They came out in the right order except for one track which I just put on in the correct order. Will see if it all worked out when I listen to them

This is the one I am currently listening to as I walk round Sefton Park - easy listening, local interest and with a happy ending (I hope) As you can see they are from BBC Audiobooks and are only 3.5" x 2" Their stock is quite limited as yet and they are very popular although they also have the cassettees and Cds
