Hi all, just thought i'd add a book that me and the kids are reading at the moment...http://www.thegraveyardbook.com/
The book has one many awards, and is one for kids (maybe older kids) and adults alike. It's about a boy whose family are murdered, but the assasin couldn't kill the baby boy as he'd wandered off out of the house and down to the local graveyard. The baby is then taken in by the ghosts of the graveyard and is looked after until he has grown.
Although initially sounding quite morbid, it's a lovely book and my girls are thoroughly enjoying it. It teaches you that graveyards are not the scary places that most seem to think, and the book follows the upbringing of this little boy by his newly adopted ghostly parents and friends.
I read my girls a chapter a night, takes about an hour to read a chapter (thats including breaks for trips to the loo
