Thought it might be fun to start a regular reading thread, and hopefully we can all discover new books from each other.

So who's reading what this week?

I'm reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson. I'm about half way through it and really enjoying it so far. I had started The Secret Scripture by Sebastian Barry, but decided I wasn't really in the mood for it, so will go back an restart it some time.

I have just finished 'Gone tomorrow' by Lee Child and I am now reading 'Visitor' by the same author. I like the Reacher stories.

Don't get the chance to read much at home but I am doing a bit of light holiday reading; New Moon-Stephanie Meyer.

I've been slacking with my reading lately, really need to get back into it.

I've just picked up a fave of mine, "The Pirates! In an adventure with Whaling." Very funny short books by Gideon Defoe, gives me a giggle when i need one. :)

House Rules by Jodie Picoult - can't read it fast enough to find out what happens. It gives a great insight into how a family copes with Aspergers Syndrome, really interesting and fast moving.

I finished the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and absolutely loved it. Looking forward to reading Steig Larsson's other 2 books.

Have picked up The Secret Scripture by Sebastian Barry again and enjoying it much more this time - just shows what a difference a couple of weeks can make to our reading preferences!!

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was the last book for our reading circle, and as the lady who should have picked the book was away it was my choice.

I've gone for Mike Carey - "The devil you know" (A Felix Castor novel). The postie has just delivered it this morning, along with Neil Gaiman's "Anansi Boys" which is a treat for myself to read next week while I'm on leave.

I'm reading Eclipse, the 3rd book in the Twilight series. It's soooo good, I had to keep myself awake on the plane to get more read.

I thought the Twilight series was very good. I wasn't all that keen to read to read them but I was told they were good...and they were.

I have to admit to being in the minority and hating Twilight (I only gave it one star on Goodreads). I only read the first one and neither the characters nor the storyline did if for me. So glad I didn't go out and buy all the series first, as I was really looking forward to reading them.

I have this ongoing (or on-off ;-) ) relationship with a theology textbook .....

but something tells me that doesn't count.

I'm reading "Teacher,teacher" - bit like Gervase Phinn, but isn't - if I can't get to sleep.
