I finished The Other Hand by Chris Cleave - really good, but not what I was expected, then read The Neighbour by Lisa Gardner - enjoyed it and almost finished The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz - a tale of a Dominican Republic family - really enjoying it, but there are tones of footnotes.
Next up is The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, the final one in the Steig Larsson Millenium Trilogy.

I am reading Down among the dead men by Robert Browne. Next I am going to read 'The girl who played with fire' .I hope this is the first in the series? Do you have to read them in order?

Kath, The Girl Who Played with Fire is the second in the series (first is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). It's probably best to read in order, as the first one really builds the characters and allows you to get to know them.

Oh. Well I got it out of the library and it was the only one there! I might pop in tomorrow and see if they have the first one. Thank you, Lisa.

Have managed to plough through Monica Ali's "Brick Lane", our Book Club selection - bleeeurgh. I've now treated myself to "Vicious Circle" by Mike Carey, the second Felix Castor novel. Much more interesting
