The Clan of the cave bear?

This is book 1 of a series of books which I am reading just now and can't put down! It is by Jean M Auel and is part of the Earth's children series. I am up to book 3 and I am loving them.

A friend brought me one to read when I was poorly and I didn't think it would be my cup of tea but I read it anyway and was hooked. It tells the story of an ice age cave child who was orphaned in an earthquake and is her story of growing up . I know they have been around for quite a few years so some of you may have read them. If you haven't then I can recommend them!

I read the 1st 5 books last year - I couldn't put them down  was lucky enough to buy them in various charity shops.

I bought the final novel last week (can't wait for the paperback)

The hardback is big & heavy Sue! LOL

Enjoying it so far Rachel :-)

Have read the others a couple of times each at least - so much detail in them to take in .......................

Another series I love is the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon (the first book is called Cross Stitch in the UK) I was introduced to these books by my SIL on a visit to the USA a lot of years ago :-) & again they have been read & re read :-)

Kath, i just found this on Youtube if you're interested.....it's the film.

They are rarely as good as the books, but it might be worth a watch.
