Very clever, and I love it - I see that bunting is in - but what is everyone doing with it?

When I was looking at felting I stumbled across some lovely bunting and was rather tempted but I did wonder where I would actually use it! Especially taking the cost of it into consideration.

I've been thinking about doing some wedding bunting, but decided against crocheting as I wouldn't use it again. Will probably make some out of paper.
Bunting is great for using at Birthdays and other celebrations, or to decorate a children's room... or any room!

We have fairly recently gained an outdoor play area at the Pre-School I work in, I would love to make some type of outdoor bunting to cheer up the fencing/railings. Not quite sure how I could do it, or what I could make it of to be durable though!
Is your bunting heavy? x

Not to heavy, although I imagine would be in the rain.
In our town we have bunting up in the high street in the summer months. I think it's made from plastic sheet.
My friend has made bunting from fabric and felt, her fabric one stays in her garden. I guess you could use oilcloth, that would be durable and light. She machine stitched hers to ribbon.

Love the bunting and then spent ages looking at your site. I'm in awe of anybody who can still create when you can't even see the desk. When I made bunting for outside I used shower curtain off cuts. (We have a scrap store close by that gets rid of stuff for crafty projects really cheap). They also had rollls of bias binding that is great for the tops. I also made some using fabric and felt but that one is for indoors. It now adorns the reading area for the reception class. Melis

Shower curtain - what a great idea!
Check out YouTube for some crochet videos, sometimes it's easier to watch someone do it. Especially to understand the hand movements and rhythm... oooeerr missus!!! lol!
