I want you to find an area of your craft room/stash that needs a tidy up....take a pic before and after......
Here is my odd bits of ribbon drawer...I am going to get it organised.....
So have you got something that you keep meaning to do?

Do you really want a panoramic view of my sitting room???????
It's enough to frighten the horses of the entire Household Cavalry Division.

well after a few attempts with card and sticky tape I got into a routine of:
...choose the best quality Christmas cards ...leave it with a fold ...cut a groove along the top and bottom beside the folded edge so that the ribbons won't slip off. ...open out ...tape the end of the ribbon and wrap around - do a few along each side, then fold shut and clip with mini clip ...that way they shouldn't unravel
I did think afterwards I could have cut individual grooves in the card for each ribbon.
I did also put most of them into colours or colour families. You can see the little blue clips I used at the bottom of the picture
Here is a picture - I didn't do them all that way as I didn't think about it until I was half way through, and I already had some just on card and taped.
the really small pieces I just popped into clip bags and intend to use them asap....

That so puts me to shame Carolyn, most of mine are in a carrier bag For me it would have to be my whole desk

Yes I really should keep my desk tidier. I end up spending ages looking for stuff too.

I set off putting my ribbons on the little cards you buy for sewing silks/cotton. I did very well for a while but now have a carrier bag full which is desperately in need of sorting. You might have inspired me to try.

I like the way you've stored your ribbons, Carolyn.
I've tried different systems for mine - the current way is that they are in individual little grip bags and then in boxes according to whether they are patterned, plain, narrow, wide etc.
I must admit that I need to be organised - I have boxes labelled for most of my stuff.
When I've been crafting I end up with a lot of stuff all over the place, but I like to tidy it all up again before I start again ... and it doesn't take long for it to be all over the place again.
One thing I do need to do is have a better sysem for storing unmounted and acrylic stamps, so perhaps I ought to show those and then do something about them.

http://www.craftobsessions.co.uk/stampe ... -13934.phpI bought a set of these and the thinnest ones are ideal for unmounted and clear stamps. It looks as if the thinnest one is out of stock at the moment but I can recommend them.I bought 2 sets and manage to fill them! i might have to get some more!!
