In the ellison sale I bough a sizzix bag die
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sizzix-Bigz-Large ... dZViewItem
and once it arrived I noticed on the packaging it says 'Crease pad required' so I bought a crease pad. I have just gone to try it out and the crease pad is too big to go through the cuttlebug
Is there is a different crease pad than this one? http://www.cuttingedgecrafts.co.uk/cart ... ory_id=342

I wonder if Ellison have made them bigger so they won't fit through the cuttlebug - because now that means not all dies are compatible with the cuttlebug - well, what I mean is the die fits through but the crease pad doesn't.

I seem to remember that someone on here ( Net?) said the creasepad was just a gimmick.

Ellen, yes I have tried the die without it and it cut fine but I don't know how sharp the creases are supposed to be - they are OK though.

Carolyn, it isn't foam but it isn't hard - it is like rubbery plastic as it is quite bendy (sorry but that is the best way that I can describe it - you think that's bad you ought to have me give you directions for getting somewhere  )

I had a piece of dense foam with my cuttlebug, which you use for embossing.

Did it come with the cuttlebug? I didn't get one of those when I bought mine and I have done embossing with the cuttlebug. Perhaps these extra pads are just a way for the companies to make extra money?

Yes mine came with it - although I know that they don't always. You can use it with normal brass stencils for embossing - rather than folders.
