I've designed my personal Christmas cards to have some shrink plastic mounted on gold paper. I was goign to use DS sticky tape to stick them down, but as a lot of the background is the clear SP it shows through. Apart from cutting out little bits of DS and using that on the coloured in bits (which I don't know would be enough to hold it in place) what can I do??

I need to get some of these in the post tonight


I know it's my fault for not doing a complete trial before now, but I didn't think it would be a problem

If you want it clear you could try silicon glue - which does take a while to dry if you apply it thickly, or Anitas clear embossing glaze makes fabulous glue. Apply a thin smear and put your shrink plastic on it quickly because used this way it dries fast! It also dries clear too!

Can truly say that Anita's embossing glaze is brill .. dries quickly and clear. I have never used this glaze for it's intended purpose, have always used it as a glue only. Using silicone glue will give the shrink embellishment room to move IYSWIM without worrying it will fall off i.e in the post. Silicon glue I think can take around 12 hours to dry, whereas the Anita's is almost immediate.

Thanks for the tip about the Anita's embossing glaze. I might give it a try later on.
That's if I EVER get out into the conservatory and make any cards today.

The only shrink plastic I have ATM is the white so it's not an issue and I usually use PVA or 3d pads. Probably too late for your batch of xmas cards but I also cut an edge around some designs and encorporate a punched hole. After shrinking you can then thread it onto ribbon, fibres, raffia..what ever you fancy.

Must invest in some more shrink plastic, I would like to try some different colours...I fancy trying black next...but not sure I would use it yet!
