Has anyone tried the Hearty air drying clay? I'm wondering if it's suitable for making pendants & beads for jewellery. Is the finished product hard/strong enough?

I have a few packs of Fimo that I've been meaning to try but to be honest I'm a bit put off by having to bake it. We bought a new oven a few months back and I'm afraid to put polymer clay in it! :o

Liz, I've never tried it myself but would be interested to find out how it works out if you go ahead and try it!

I have a toater oven and do all my baking of clay in that - at least its saves me having to worry about mixing food with my kitchen oven :) .

Thanks Pauline. I wasn't sure if you could use toaster ovens to bake fimo. I saw some in a sale recently and the thought did cross my mind. Wish I'd bought one! I have a different dilemma now - buy some Hearty clay and try it, or get a toaster oven? :D

Why don't you do both?

:D :D

Have to admit that I would be so lost without my toaster oven. It's great because I always leave it on the same temperature, I'm the only one who uses it and its up in my craft room, so I can carry on working while other models are cooking!

Pauline :)
