You can also 'alter' CD jewel cases into travel games too. Don't have a link to share, but I saw something similar in one of my craft magazines.
On the 2peas site (I think), someone has altered a paint-can into a 'rainy day tin' (or somesuch title) containing bits and pieces to amuse the kids. I guess if you were travelling by car and space wasn't so much of an issue, then a paint-tin containing bits and pieces for amusement during the journey would also be fun to do.

It's the black/clear plastic case that holds the CD. They are real easy to take apart and then put together again.
