Just wanted to say hello...........love this section of the site.....I'm not mean, just get a thrill out of making 'something out of nothing'.
Not done much apart from painting or covering shoe boxes and box files/ring binders (can't stand the plain ones on my shelves). Also did a small box........stuck old advertisements all over it, overlapping them, dabbed on some dark oak wood stain to give it a bit of 'age' and it looks a treat..............next thing along those lines is a small hat box I got for 50p from the charity shops (can't stay out of them). Found a good site for images to print off and use. Love all the stuff you've done. You're all so clever.........well done

Without a scanner I'm a bit stuck so you'll have to use your imagination with anything I do I'm afraid...........lol
Sorry......I put a link on my first post and just noticed when I went through all the links to sites that its already there.
Well, I seem to have spent all afternoon looking around the site and the links and tips..............hubby went to the pub and back and I was still here. Think it's a brilliant site and I'll certainly shout if I need help. You all seem to know what you're doing............so bear with me.....I;m a bit of a novice and so far have cut things out and stuck them on cards (tastefully I hope) and thats been my limit.

Its a very long long list of 'must have's'.........downstairs loo being a priority.........lol
Still we'll see. You never know.............while I'm waiting I've got a box to decorate. Hubby thinks I must be a bit 'sad' (he knows nothing !). It's a box that used to have those cappacino drinks in the sachets. Thought it might be a good 'beginner' piece for a small gift bag/box. Then there's the hat box to do.............oh dear.....the hoover will never see the light of day at this rate.

Need some ideas..........thought I'd do something with the cappacino sachet boxes..........they're not very big so I thought they'd be ok for a first attemp and now I'm mind boggled as to what to do other than turn them into gift boxes punching holes at the top for ribbon .......anyone got any other suggestions for a beginner ?
