Oh dear, I have just entered a part of this site that I have never really looked into and I think I may be here for quite some time - just hope it encourages me to use stuff that I have rather than buying more to add to it all

I think some notebooks for Mothers day. (complicated family set up means 5 mothers day gifts to buy and it gets REALLY expensive - so much that the last two years I have done really special cards rather than spending £100 on gifts -£20 each)
What is the best sort to buy and where from?

Well if you are gonna tart them up then it doesn't really matter too much iykwim.....
I always go for plain, hardbacked books, I think the ones without spirals are easier if you are going to completely cover them.
I get mine from Poundland and 99p shop. But you can get them anywhere, WH Smith, ASDA, Tesco, Wilkinson etc.
Don't forget to take piccies so we can see

Thanks for tips. I have done 5 notebooks altogether and took piccies but am very blonde (have spent about an hour looking around the forum and registered on the gallery) can I just put them on the gallery or do I need approval from Carolyn first?
Thanks.

Fab Katie!!!!
I think I am right in saying that as long as you register to the gallery and log in before you upload - pics will be there right away
Looking forward to seeing them!!

Thank you, you are all so kind.
Most of the flowers are felt, except for the top flower on the book with the blue poppies and the top flower on the first book (both books have a paper flower over a felt flower) Well spotted.
