I am a pack rat. I love to give litter a new life . I haven't thrown out a piece of clothing in ages without ripping off the buttons and/or lace or anything else that looks like it could be re-purposed. This purge I found those pull-on leather boots that haven't seen the light of day in the last 10 years

The leather is not very good at this point anyway. So my question is: Are those old boots just plain rubbish (incinerated here) or can I reuse the leather for crafts?
Need advice ladies!

Hi Chrissy
I would suggest using the recycing bin at your local tip.
That way, even though you're throwing them out, at least they will be re-cycled in some way or another

I'd give them to a charity shop Chrissy. The leather looks quite stiff so I don't think it would be any good for cutting thonging or anything.

There is also freecycle As for charity shops, I know places like Oxfam relish items like your boots.

They look in far too good condition to chop up. It's just as good to give something a new lease of life!
I would take them to a charity shop, as then not only will someone else get to wear them, but the charity benefits too. A double bonus!

I bought some leather shoes last week and the lady said to rub beeswax into the leather to keep it looking nice - it may be worth a try with those boots (it may work) to revive the leather (it may not work)
