I have been inspired by the lovely altered canvases you have all done and gone ahead and bought myself a couple from the 99p shop.!
I've painted them today and what I want to do is use them for my childrens school photos - so want to beable to change the picture from time to time. So I thought about getting some sort of plastic wallet to stick on to beable me to swap the pics?? but of couse can't find what I want and so after your help? The photo's are approx 7" x 9".
Would appreciate any ideas and inspiration if anybody else has tried this on your canvases.
thanks

could you use a scrap book sleeve - you can get 6 x 6 and 8 x 8 sizes

Or you could use photo corners or turns to hold you pic on - either of those would be as easy to swap as a sleeve, I would think.

thanks - they're all good ideas. I don't have any scrapbook sleeves but do have some acetate, like the photo corner idea too. Will have a play tomorrow, see what I can do.

I used a couple of scrapbook sleeves in the end, cut them to size, punched holes and threaded them with ribbon, then stuck the sleeve to the canvas so now the photos can be changed, have put white paper in till the new school pics arrive!

Thank you all for your comments. Forgot to say that I didn't have any acryclic paints so as I had (what seems like 100's!!) of tester pots from when we decorated I decided to try them - and the emulsion went on fine, hasn't cracked or anything, so worth remembering if you want to match a certain colour scheme etc.!
