Hi,

I have several tall round tins that I am using to store my pens and pencils in. I would like to cover them in card and decorate them, but I am not sure if I have to paint them first or not.

I think that nearly all of the tin will be covered with the exception of the bit where the lid goes on.

Could someone please give me some tips. Where do I start :??:

Sorry.... me again.

I think I know what I want the tin to look like, but how do you cover a round lid :??:

I was thinking of wrapping ribbon around the edge, but i will still need a neat way to cover the top without the edges of the paper showing.

Think I am having a dumb moment :oops: :doh

There is a covered tin in the projects on the forum that angelnorth did for Christmas - I also did a peanut tin in the projects on the site.

I did a jar also at Christmas see my blog in January - I put ribbon around the edge

if you cover them in card there is no need to paint them.

Mod Podge is ideal to stick your paper with
You could paint the lid if you only want to put a circle on the top , then it doesn't matter what size the circle is.and the ribbon will accompliment it.
