You can also make your own stumps, out of copier paper or any other normal paper. Here's a link http://share3.esd105.wednet.edu/sotelops/tortillion.htm I had a go at doing it, and I found that they actually worked quite well at blending the colours, but I couldn't get as good a point as you get with the ready made ones, so I couldn't get into the small areas, but worked pretty well on large areas. But if they work for you, then you could make loads really cheaply (even 1 for each colour!) and just have a few proper ones for the detail areas.

I have just had a quick play. my 1st ever try with them, love the effect, but have a halo from the sansador, willl it fade? I did use it with the cotton buds, so maybe i used a bit much & it soaked the paper as well.

I find cotton buds are fine - but they need to be 'tight' if not you can't get into small areas as well.
Tracey it may be that you've had too much sansodor and also that your card is too absorbent. The halo should diminish though - I had a touch of that at first too. Practice really does make perfect. well better if not exactly perfect!

My lovely tin of 132 arrived today up until now I have only been playing with a random set of 17, so I have been colouring some pretty weird coloured tildas!
So I have used them tonight to colour a figure from Final Fantasy 8 (playstation game) that I am going to use on a card for Danny's birthday from Liam.
Just not looking forward to sharpening them all

I need to get some good quality cotton buds, have heard the johnsons ones are good any other brands to look out for?, mine were just some basic ones. I did try & make my own stump, didn't get the Halo the same, but will buy a proper pack tomorrow, mine wasn't a good one, i ended up with a floppy end
