my OH bought me the xcut for my birthday and im so pleased with it, definatly cheap and cheerful!
i really wanted a cuttlebug but i have 2 children and both there birthdays are in march and they are having a joint party so they needed the money really so couldnt justify the price of a cuttlebug plus folders/dies so i opted for the xcut as it was a bargain from madaboutcards.
it takes quite a few different makes of dies so there are lots of choices even though it does only take small ones.
does anyone else have one?

I have only seen it on line. Is the the same as the side kick/tag along?

I've had a few die cutters in my time but I have to confess I love ny Cuttlebug, but if the Impress with take cuttlebug dies it's definately a bargain.

the impress is just like the sidekick but cheaper, its takes alot of thin dies from other makes. i got the machine, a set of alphabet dies, and a bundle of dies and embossing folders for under £20.
one day i will get the cuttlebug but it wasnt something i need so the kids can have extra pressies instead

I've got the X-Cut Impress (and a Bigshot and a Quickkutz ) but I like the X-Cut one as it is small, lighweight and it sucks on to the worktop.

I like the others too and they definitely all have their place in my tool collection!

yeah i agree about it being good as its small, i only have a very small area to work in so its great to stick on the corner of my desk

Congratulations Annette, seem to have a bargain there!
I have one too, very compact and quite light. (Also have a cuttlebug)
The xcut impress also takes my Go Kreate dies and quite often get a better cut on that than the cuttlebug!
