I have heard that the cuttlebug is being discontinued, may be a good thing for those looking for a die cutter as they may come down in price!

If that's the case I need to stock up on mats :(

Are they bringing out a replacement machine?

do you think they would continue making the mats?? They should for a few years when you think of the amount of people who have purchased bugs

i thought it was a really big seller, but i read that provocraft and sizzix are now owned by the same parent company and this was why?!

Do big shot mats fit in the cuttlebug?
If not then i would stock up (must buy some for my mum!)
you may be able to get acrylic cut to size?

On one site they think it is the Sizzix which may go - guess there will be lots of speculation.

I've had a root about and on a US Forum someone has posted that Cuttlebug are scheduled for a big launch at the Summer CHA 2009 (was that the one which has just been?)

Anyway, I have taken the bull by the horns, or the bug by the handle and emailed Provocraft to ask them!!! Lets see how good their customer service is.

It's all a bit mad to me, first there was Provocraft (who made the Sizzix, and now make the Bug), then Ellison which is separate and now they are all back together. It's like the Ken and Diedre Barlow of the Craft world

Ruthie

You just reminded me of when I first opened my bug and assembled. I found the bits to fix the arm and said I would have to return it as no handle. When we finished playing with it I held the box so my sister could carefully put it in ......... she pulled up the integral handle
  :D :D :D
She still teases me!
