I have just finished our book club book The Importance of Being Kennedy I really can't decide if I liked it or not. It was a kind of biography, but I don't think I like the that it was fact and fiction, I like to know what is true and what isn't!

I would find that very annoying, too! I don't like spoofs unless I know they are all made up.

I am reading 'The Dogs of Riga' by Henning Mankell. It is about a Swedish policeman who has to go to Latvia regarding a crime. It is quite interesting but shocking to think of people living in fear like this.

I hardly ever find or make time to read but under doctors orders, I need to make more me time! SO, I have dusted off Breaking Dawn, which I must have started last summer and only managed a few pages.  I often feel jealous of Jack, who is like a little bookwork. He is currently reading the Eragon series and really enjoying them. All I ever read is the reviews and write ups when trying to find new material for Jack to read!  I was tempted my The Hunger Games. I must make a not of that one Jan. I have just finished listening to The Ship of Brides by the same author. She is a really good storyteller. One of our local libraries does books on MP3 players so as I am not very good at making time for actually reading, I love listening to these on my walk to the post office every day. Another author I love is Marian Keyes. I am currently listening to Martha's Journey by Maureen Lee - a Liverpool author. I bought my aunt "Call the Midwife" and the other 2 books that go with it so I will take them with me when I go away. _________________

I read me before you when I was away
I cannot recomend it enough its fantastic Read it in a day just couldnt leave it alone
I am reading anothet Ali Mcnamara book Breakfast at Darcys a chick Lit but after Mo Hayder its just what i need

Just finished The Christmas Angel by Marcia Willett. Not much happens in it but it was just a nice read. I have just got a blackberry playbook and downloaded a couple of books onto it so I will see if I like reading them electronically or not.

I'm not sure I dare read just now - except to study. If I read anything else I spend too long doing it; I don't read anything too serious (studying takes care of serious reading!) but something that's got a decent plot - at the moment it's the series that's set in Birmingham (Birmingham Blitz is one of them) and I have the midwife one, too.

I am just reading The Fourth Estate by Jeffrey Archer and must admit it is a gripping book to read. It is also very thick and means I am spending more time reading than I should be at the moment!!!! Hoping I will get it finished in the next couple of days.

I have three fat Barbara Taylor Bradfords which are a trilogy - A Woman of Substance (her first) and the two sequels. I've read most of the first one, but then stopped and can't seem to pick up the plot again - sure I will if I can get a decent chunk of reading time.
As I'm not having to study as much I can spend a bit more time reading, so I'm hoping I can have a decent go at them and then they can go to the charity shop. I've more of hers, but only one other really long one.
Mind you, there's loads more I should be doing and as soon as I get the go-ahead from college as to whether I am still welcome (given that I spent so much of last year sorting my mother's stuff that I am still second year .....) and whether they want me to wait for the current essay titles or use the ones I have already, I will be needing to get back to study again .

Spying in high heels Gemma Halliday bit lame but entertaining
Chocolate girls Annie Murray a 'life story' worth a read set around cadburys
The reluctant detective Sinclair Macleod not bad
Monday to Friday man Alice peterson too predictable

I read Chocolate Girls and enjoyed it - a time ago, so have forgotten who's who. There is a sequel to it which I have somewhere, but if I took the first one to the charity shop I won't remember the mothers of the girls in that.
I think there's a similar tltle of one about Lyons Corner House waitresses - probably not related apart from the title being similar (and I can't even remember that!)
