Here is a lovely site. Look at the free knitting patterns. I am knitting toys from the duck family book. Have a look at the knitting books as well. Everything is made so simple and easy and I am enjoying making the little cuties.

I have printed some of these freebies off and knitted a few of them. They are such easy patterns.

I am hoping to sell them in the future Carolyn.

Our town has a Shopmobility scheme and every now and again they are given the chance to open a craft shop in a vacant shop for a couple of weeks or so for crafters to sell their goods.

They ask for a £5 donation and 15% of items sold. I have put my name down on the waiting list so will see what happens.

If not I will have to find another outlet for them. I only want to sell them for enough money to buy more wool and patterns.

It is a hobby that I enjoy.

That sounds great, I know what you mean - I do that with cards, if I didn't sell them I wouldn't make that many.

Well, I have been accepted for the next Shopmobility Charity craft shop that will be open for about a month in a vacant shop.

I have knitted quite a few little animals and now I need advice on pricing.

Any ideas please. You can see the little animals on the link in my first post. They are between 6 to 8 inches high.

Don't want to overprice them but need enough to buy some more yarn.

I'm sorry , I wouldn't have a clue how much to charge. Obviously you need to make enough to replenish the yarn you use, then you need to add a bit of profit to that. You also need to think about the 15%..that seems a bit high to me but I expect it is the going rate.Other people might have some idea.

Good luck with your stall anyway.

That is tricky one, I don't even know how much to pay for cuddly toy.

Have you looked around Etsy?

http://www.etsy.com/search/handmade?q=k ... in=0&max=0

or Folksy

http://folksy.com/search?t=items&q=knit ... mit=Search

It may even depend on how they display and what else they sell. £5 or £6?

Thank you for your replies and for the links Carolyn. Have also looked at ebay. I think I will charge between £3 and £4.50 and see how that goes.

I don't have to 'man' the stall, it is run by volunteers and I just have part of a table so will see how it goes.

At least I don't have to use my time standing around :)
